Located in downtown Dallas, Victory is a high-rise apartment that changed substantially over time before a major flood required the home to be gutted and rebuilt. What began as an effort to soften the sharper edges of a tower residence became an opportunity to reconsider the apartment in full.

Joshua Rice Design used the renovation to introduce stronger material contrast, greater depth, and a more collected sense of permanence. Dark woods, architectural stone, softened plaster tones, and integrated lighting replaced the colder vocabulary associated with many contemporary high-rise interiors. The goal was to create a home with more intimacy and weight, without compromising its urban clarity.

Within a compact footprint, every element was asked to carry more responsibility. Custom millwork, sculptural furnishings, and a deliberate relationship between art and architecture establish rhythm across the apartment. Important contemporary and collectible pieces lend the residence a distinct point of view, giving the finished home a stronger sense of authorship and a more grounded relationship to daily life.
